Bipolar Income Producing Opportunities

Although a number of successful people have made great achievements despite their bipolar depression, for the majority this illness presents a myriad of challenges that are difficult to overcome. Difficulties with sleep, interpersonal relationships, and medication changes can all contribute to making the typical 9-5 "day job" career look almost as difficult as Mount Everest. Strides in the employment of people with mental illness were started during the 1990's with the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Today, there are numerous resources available such as the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) that tries to provide employers, employees, and other interested parties with helpful information designed to facilitate the continued employment of people with disabilities. Still, at Bipolar Circle we believe that more effort is needed.

Bipolar Circle has established a goal to explore what we can do to help bring income producing opportunities to people with bipolar disorder. We have no large start-up bank account and don't really believe that is necessarily the best answer. Instead, our vision is that like minded people can organize and establish one or more for-profit enterprises where those who are able bodied can find income producing opportunities. Toward this end we have established a resume' database that accepts bipolar disorder opportunity seekers from around the world because computers have made it possible for many forms of work to take place anywhere in the world. Additionally, Bipolar Circle is soliciting volunteers to help us organize for-profit enterprises that can take advantage of this labor pool as a first step. Bipolar Circle needs volunteers with human relations, legal, contracting, corporate governance, and other types of business development experience.
